Breana Jones is a seasoned leader in business development, client experience, and leadership training, currently serving as Director of the Leadership Institute at Columbus State University. In this role, she leads organizational strategy, program development, evaluation, and client partnerships, working with individuals, teams, and organizations to strengthen leadership capacity and drive meaningful results.

Since joining the Leadership Institute in 2017, Breana has progressed through multiple roles, bringing a breadth of experience in leadership development, coaching, program assessment, and relationship management. Her work focuses on creating innovative, data-informed solutions that respond to evolving organizational and community needs.

Originally from Orlando, Florida, Breana’s professional background spans radio broadcasting, communications, community outreach, and higher education, shaping her people-centered and engagement-driven leadership style. She is a proud alumna of Florida A&M University and relocated to Columbus, Georgia, to pursue and complete her Master of Public Administration at Columbus State University.

Breana holds several professional credentials, including a Measurement Specialist Certificate from Rice University’s Doerr Institute, and certifications in RightPath and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI®). She is currently working toward certification through the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Her passion lies in coaching and empowering leaders to clarify their goals, maximize their strengths, and lead with confidence and purpose.

Actively engaged in the community, Breana is a board member of the Literacy Alliance and volunteers with the Wynnton Neighborhood Network. She has previously served as Chair of CSU’s Young Alumni Council and has been involved with the Junior League of Columbus and the Young Professionals of the Greater Columbus Georgia Chamber of Commerce. In recognition of her leadership and impact, Breana was named a Rising Star by Columbus and the Valley Magazine in 2023 and is a graduate of the 2022 Leadership Columbus program.
